Our first week as a Full house

The first week as a family of five (5) has been going pretty smoothly. I must admit that the beginning of week #2 has not been bad. So far Bryce is a good baby and Kara and Jace are just playing together like nothing really has changed. Every once in awhile they want to hold him, but that is really about it. I am taking it easy and just enjoying staying at home for the short time I get to on maternity leave. I will be heading back to work in July and although that seems so far away I know it will be here before I know it. Luckily, my job is extremely flexible and I will be working from home again, but...it will be different. Thank God for family (and friends):-) Enjoy some of these pictures.

Marecle Baby #3 Has Arrived!

Bryce Raymond was born April 11, 2008 @ 10:49 p.m. He joined us in a blaze of glory...not even waiting for the doctor to arrive. Luckily we were at the hospital, but the birth story is a quick one. Contractions started around 3p or so and my mom and dad asked me to go for a walk with them around Bradley Park. I arrived around 4p and returned home around 5p. I proceeded to make dinner for the kids and myself and around 5:30p gave Jamin the warning that we should probably get ready to head to the hospital. The official hospital records show we arrived at 8:18p and was checked in about an hour later. Sometime around 10:15p as i am wondering where my epidural is...everything started to happen very quickly. I am not exactly sure when my water broke, but the nurse had just checked me and I was at a 7. Soon after I asked for some drugs, but Bryce had other plans. My water broke he landed on my tailbone and I screamed "The baby is coming." Jamin was at my side like a Saint and held my hand through the entire process (which was relatively quick). Three nurses were also at my bedside assisting in the delivery...according to Jamin - two pushes and Bryce was born. I have to say it was very shocking since I had planned on an epidural and all (I got an epidural with the first two). Luckily, the process didn't take very long and we have our beautiful new baby boy.

He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. He went home 7 lbs. 3 oz. and at his 5 day check up he was back up to 7 lbs. 5 oz. We have officially been home a week and things are going good. The kids seem to be adjusting well and life just continues to go on. Jamin stayed home this week, so the real challenge lies ahead when Jamin goes back to work on Monday. Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Finally...a new post!

Ok - so its been much too long since our last post...not that anyone really checks out this blog, but I figured it was time to put some new pictures up. It's been almost a year since my last post, but there is no way to catch up so I am just going to recap the month of March 2008. Its been great - a trip to Ocean Shores, Kara's first basketball games (Jamin was the coach), Jace swimming, the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Aunt Natalies and the preparation for Marecle baby #3 (due April 13). Enjoy the pictures as they basically tell the story of March.
