So much going on...

It sure seems like life keeps getting crazier. With that being said, I can officially say that Bryce is walking. I know I jumped the gun about 6-8 weeks ago, but he is cruising now. He still loves to crawl, but he is full on "toddling" now. Here are a few videos of his triumphant "toddles."

Sorry this one is sideways, this next one is great because he is playing in the sprinkler:

One more - this was taken today at Jace's 1st Soccer practice:

So that brings me to my next "craziness" of our life: Jace had his 1st soccer practice today and he did so great. I was so impressed that he actually got out with his team and listened to the coach and didn't really look back at us at all. I thought he was going to be more clingy, but he really enjoyed himself and by the end was giving the coach high 5's. This is going to be fun!

Next, Kara is playing t-ball. She is loving it. I can't believe we are in t-ball already! She loves her team and we had a practice game the other day and I couldn't believe how well everyone on her team listened to the coach and actually proved that they had learned something at the practices. Our coach is great. So is Jace's soccer coach. I am so grateful that these coaches are not taking things so seriously when these kids are still so young.
Also, Kara earned a reward for all her hard work with reading this school year. She chose to get her ears pierced! I was so nervous and tried not to show it because she was so calm and excited. She did great! She almost started crying about 10 seconds after it was all done. Much to my surprise they do both ears at the same time - I know get with the times! They are all growing up so fast. Its so much fun:-)

Look closely, her ears have earrings in them...not the greatest picture (sorry).

Our Baby is 1!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY - BRYCE !
Where do I start...We celebrated his first b-day on his actual birth day, April 11. It was a great day shared with family and friends. We are truly blessed...I can honestly say that I was the least emotional with this one because I am finally "ok" with my children growing up. I don't think you can ever really be 100% happy with the fact that time continues to fly by, but you start becoming "ok" with time going by. I am excited about the children growing up and the fact that my baby is now one and I guess officially a toddler - I am actually doing "ok." (I finally cried today, but not on his b-day).
Now, Bryce is not really walking AT ALL, so that keeps him very baby to me. He did a great job opening presents with daddy and absolutely devoured his cake. I took LOTS of pictures, but I didn't have time to put together a slide show yet so here are just a few.
THANK YOU to all our family and friends for sharing this wonderful day with us.

Bryce Raymond Marecle born April 11, 2008 @ 10:49pm. He came out screaming and didn't even wait for the doctor to arrive. Not much has changed as he is my "busiest" baby and definitely knows what he wants. I love him more than words could ever express (as all you parents out there understand). I look forward to the many adventures of year #2 with him.

GOOD TIMES

So I can't seem to capture Bryce walking on video yet! What a bugger...he has decided he doesn't really want to walk now. He will stand for a long time and even bop up and down, but after the first two steps he collapses back down to crawling. Honestly, I am ok with this. I promise to post his first video walking once I can get it. The other tough part is he only wants to walk to me and when I am holding a camera he just wants to play with it! Oh, well.
I figured I would share these hilarious pictures of Bryce eating licorice. I forgot that I had a package of licorice in the diaper bag and while I was cooking dinner he found a piece and started slobbering all over it. Once I realized what he was doing I simply stuck him in the high chair and let him go to town. It was great fun! I thought it looked like something from a horror film, the red was everywhere. Boy, he loved it.

I have been in the spirit of getting out lately and took the kids to the Tacoma Children's Museum over two weeks ago. My friend Sara McGowan and I share a birthday week and have kept to the tradition of getting together each year to celebrate. This year we decided to do it true mommy-style with the kids. We had a great time playing around the museum and then heading to the Old Spaghetti Factory for lunch. I must say our kids did very well and had lots of fun.

Then today I was able to join my friend Saundra and her two girls Camden & Brooklyn for a trip up to the Seattle Children's Museum. We were lucky enough to have our friends the Cypher's meet us up there. It was very busy, but a lot of fun. It was a long day, but once again the kids had a blast and are fast asleep as I type! I didn't get any pictures of it, but we witnessed the "eruption" of the water fountain in the middle of Seattle Center and call me crazy, but I didn't realize all the things it did. I have lived here my whole life and never knew that it played music, made sounds and "erupted" like it did. I think that was the best thing to watch the kids take in. They were all watched with such excitement and admiration. It was a fun day.

Oh, yeah - we also got new hardwood floors in the house. I am loving them! I didn't really get any good pictures of them installing them, but Jamin worked along side the installer and then proceeded to install a room at Grammie and Papa's. We are loving hardwoods:-0 I guess that would make sense since we are both in love with the game of basketball (ha, ha).

Bryce is Walking!

Sorry that I don't have the video up yet, I will tonight...I hope. Yesterday was Bryce's big day in taking more than one step and keeping his balance! I can't believe my baby is going to be ONE in 10 days and is starting to walk. Don't worry, I have no urge this time to have another baby. We are so done! I love my three munchkins and we are perfect as a Full House:-)

I don't know...I am so glad he is taking longer to walk. The other two were walking already, but I think Bryce walking will be the ultimate in testing my patience. He is into EVERYTHING and he just smiles at you when you tell him no. It will be fun to let him run outside with the older kids! Life is good:-)
