We love our Cousins!

Over the last week or so we have had lots of fun with our cousins. We are very blessed to have almost our entire family live near by (except Uncle Taylor and Uncle Spencer's families). That is why this blog-business is so great - we keep in touch with pictures:-)
Jace and Cooper being boys in an inflatable raft-like thing - easy to keep them occupied and having fun.

SLUGS!

Ok - so unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) we taught the kids that salt will kill slugs. I remember doing this as a child myself and I absolutely loved it.

PRESCHOOL FUN

Last week was full of fun at preschool - starting with a trip to Salt Water State Park on June 4. It was a not-so-perfect day with a little bit of rain, a lot of clouds and just simple cold weather. It didn't matter as the kids had a blast looking at all the really cool sea creatures. We saw a ton of live crabs, a few star fish, a small red baby octopus, a sea anenome and other things. I saw a kelp crab for the first time. I was fairly sick so we didn't stay long, but Kara and Jace had a blast.

Then it was VIP Day on June 5 - that is Kara's special day at school. She is the Very Important Person on this day. She gets to wear a crown all day (which is impossible since she was running around playing and all), we get to bring a "sweet" snack (which was her favorite homemade choc chip/butterscotch chip cookies we baked the night before), she gets to bring 5 things that go in a VIP suitcase to share with the class and at the end of the day she gets to hold a balloon and everyone follows her around like a parade. It is a lot of fun. The best part was during show and tell when each "friend" in her class gets to ask her a question. I was amazed with each question the "friends" asked and how well she answered. My favorite question was "What is your favorite thing to wear" and she answered "my pink shirt with flowers on it." As much as preschool has brought Kara out of her shy "shell" she is still very quiet and nervous looking when she stands up in front of everyone.

Anyway, this is her last year in preschool (her last day is tomorrow June 12). I can't believe she will be starting Kindergarten in the Fall. Time flies...

It's a Starfish!
Sisterly Love! Silly pose on MY Day
She shared her new webkinz cat "waffles", her leapster, her blankie, pictures of her family and Disney book.
She told Jamin that she wanted to confuse everyone at school by going really fast during her VIP parade and go in a lot of different directions...let me tell you she had everyone confused - it was hilarious to watch.

I LOVE THE SWING!

So we finally figured out over the Memorial Day weekend that Bryce LOVES the swing. Its a blessing and a curse. He will sit in it for hours and sleep, but that is basically the only way he will nap now (unless of course you are holding him). He sleeps at night in his crib just fine, but the day time naps are going to have to change at some point. But as any parent knows you do what you have to so you can survive. Here are some pictures of Bryce in the swing...sleeping of course.

SILLY FACES:-)

After some yummy Fun Dip!

Nap Time!

Ok - so most of you know how much my family loves to nap (including me). The other day Jamin was napping with Kara and Jace and when Kara woke up she told me to go look at Daddy and Jace. Here are the pictures...simply adorable.

Don't they look comfy...I couldn't believe Jace's leg was on Jamin (too cute)
