FIRST TOOTH!

It's official. Bryce has his first tooth! The timing is just about right on track with his big sister and brother. Right around the 10 month mark...I think this would be the earliest tooth for my babies. Luckily, it was just one night of torture for him and the next morning I felt the tooth. Yah! Its wierd - you can't see the tooth really - you can only feel it. Official day was Monday, January 26th. (love the drool)
Bryce LOVES dogs and just animals in general, which is just strange to me because my other two are very flighty around animals. Anyway, Bryce has no fear and was completely terrorizing my mom's Pug (Sadie). And of course he loves trying to climb stairs - luckily we don't have any at our house. Fun for Grammie and Grandma Becky.

Monster Truck Weekend

Jace and I had a fun day on Saturday - starting with "kung fu" gymnastics and then Monster Truck Jam at the Tacoma Dome. It was hilarious and a lot of fun. The pictures tell the story for Jace - the sound of the Monster Trucks FREAKED him out initially (me, too) and the ear plugs I brought were not going to do the trick. So I hustled out to the nearest merchandise stand and bought him these adorable ear phone-things.
After the initial shock of it all Jace and I really enjoyed ourselves in our own little private area - its the Press Box in the Tacoma Dome. Thank you Jocelyn for the tickets. It was nice having an entire area to just roam around and not have people right next to you.

He did enjoy himself - he was screaming and yelling by the end - who won? Why is that one broken? Two of the Monster Trucks broke during the freestyle competition...honestly, it was crazy to watch.
Look how high this truck got? I went to a Monster Truck show once when I was a kid and I didn't remember all that much, mostly smashing cars. I didn't realize they jumped so high. All in all, Jace had a blast and so did I. It was nice to have some one on one time with Jace. He is growing up so fast.

Happy New Year (uh, a few weeks late)

Jace loves his new SpiderMan bike he got for his Birthday.

I am getting worse and worse at posting these days. Here are some fun things the family has been up to.
We rang in the New Year with our friends the Kowalchuk's and Cypher's. Some how I only got pictures of my family right before midnight and after...yes, the kids made it to midnight. It was a lot of fun.
(Jamin looks a little pained in this picture:-)

Then it rained and it rained and it rained...to say the least its been a tough couple of weeks around the Marecle home. Water is not our friend on our property (I will leave it at that). Anyway, it is back to school and basketball games for Kara, gymnastics for Jace (we call it Kung Fu gymnastics) because all he wants to do is Kung Fu (thanks Santa for bringing Kung Fu Panda), work for me and Jamin and of course all the normal stuff that we try to get accomplished. Jace totally cutting a rug - I love when he dances:-)
Bryce is completely crawling - everywhere - very quickly. Not just the "caterpillar" crawl. He also pulls himself up onto EVERYTHING and he thinks he is so cool:-) Where does all the time go? Happy New Year to all. Here is to a happy and healthy 2009.

Merry Christmas

This time of year is so great, yet very hectic. It has been a blessing staying at home for the past week and a half - its been a FULL HOUSE - with Jamin home, too. We enjoyed the snow as a family and of course, Christmas. It was so great to see Jamin's brother Taylor and his adorable family Stephanie (my sister-in-law), Kaitlyn (20 months) and Alexis (2 1/2 months). They were visiting from Idaho - sure wish they lived closer:-) The kids had a blast on Christmas Eve, Christmas morning, Christmas Day, Christmas Evening, the day after Christmas...it hasn't stopped. Just too much "stuff" to play with. All in all, I can honestly say we feel so blessed to have a healthy and happy family. We hope everyone is enjoying their holiday time and looking forward to a wonderful New Year in a few days. Here are a few pics from the past week:
This was the night of Dec. 21 - Jamin had to scrape the sidewalk and driveway at around 11p that night:-)

"Help I can't walk and definitely can't crawl in this huge snow suit-thing you have on me" (thank you Sarah Cypher for the snow gear hand-me down)Kara and Bryce hangin' out

Here is Bryce with his cousin Brittney on Christmas Eve (that would be my brother's daughter - I know I think this is the first time my brother's family has had a picture on this blog!) Merry Christmas:-) I can never get all 3 of them to smile at the same time. Two out of three is always good. (this was Christmas Morning) Thank you Grammie for the Christmas pj's. Yes, she makes ALL her grandchildren Christmas pj's every year! And the number of grandchildren continues to grow. I think it might slow down after the next two arrive (total 13 by next Christmas).
