Our 9th Wedding Anniversary

I must say I absolutely loved having a weekend with just my husband. We traveled to Portland for the weekend to grab a delicious dinner on Friday night (thank you Jamin's Boss and Wife) and then a Trailblazers game on Saturday night (thank you Tim). We had so much fun. The weekend just flew by and I must say even after 9 years and 3 children Jamin and I have so much fun together. He is truly my best friend and soul mate (ok, enough mushy stuff). I thought it would be nice to post something about us instead of the kids for once. All in all, thank you Grammie, Papa, Marissa, Grandma Becky and Papa Russ for taking the kids for the weekend (oh, yeah and the Jessica/Griffin Marecle clan). I was still recovering on Monday trying to get back into my regular responsibilities. I can't wait to plan our big 10 year anniversary next year:-)
The proverbial "let's take a picture of ourselves shot."This was at our nice dinner on Friday - Jamin's boss' wife took this one.Sorry for embarassing anyone, but yes we do still kiss:-)

Looking back at February

What the heck, my last post was Feb. 1st. What a slacker I am. Here are some cute pics from the past month.Jace's first visit to the Dentist - No Cavaties!
Kara taking pictures:
What kid doesn't love playing in the dishwasher?Or eating a lemon?
This is boring, mom. I am just going to sit in the goal.

Playing hockey with the boys. Always so much fun.
Having fun on a nice sunny day in February - please come back sunshine!
Bryce even had a friend to play with. This is Sammy and there were actually a bunch of babies to play with. We had around 15 kids playing this particular outing. It was a lot of fun.

Learning to play nicely at an early age:-)

FIRST TOOTH!

It's official. Bryce has his first tooth! The timing is just about right on track with his big sister and brother. Right around the 10 month mark...I think this would be the earliest tooth for my babies. Luckily, it was just one night of torture for him and the next morning I felt the tooth. Yah! Its wierd - you can't see the tooth really - you can only feel it. Official day was Monday, January 26th. (love the drool)
Bryce LOVES dogs and just animals in general, which is just strange to me because my other two are very flighty around animals. Anyway, Bryce has no fear and was completely terrorizing my mom's Pug (Sadie). And of course he loves trying to climb stairs - luckily we don't have any at our house. Fun for Grammie and Grandma Becky.

Monster Truck Weekend

Jace and I had a fun day on Saturday - starting with "kung fu" gymnastics and then Monster Truck Jam at the Tacoma Dome. It was hilarious and a lot of fun. The pictures tell the story for Jace - the sound of the Monster Trucks FREAKED him out initially (me, too) and the ear plugs I brought were not going to do the trick. So I hustled out to the nearest merchandise stand and bought him these adorable ear phone-things.
After the initial shock of it all Jace and I really enjoyed ourselves in our own little private area - its the Press Box in the Tacoma Dome. Thank you Jocelyn for the tickets. It was nice having an entire area to just roam around and not have people right next to you.

He did enjoy himself - he was screaming and yelling by the end - who won? Why is that one broken? Two of the Monster Trucks broke during the freestyle competition...honestly, it was crazy to watch.
Look how high this truck got? I went to a Monster Truck show once when I was a kid and I didn't remember all that much, mostly smashing cars. I didn't realize they jumped so high. All in all, Jace had a blast and so did I. It was nice to have some one on one time with Jace. He is growing up so fast.
